NNAAAAHHH...i dont think so...

...the truth is...i cant escape my painting skill roots....and,im not trying anymore.

I tried painting differently from what im used to in Tristan´s Harlequim (the red one on the far right) and now,i was trying the same with these 2ed Dungeon Bowl elves...

As you can see,the first (big) mistake was...no priming...geeessshhh...in what the hell i was thinking in??!!!The paint doesnt stick,thus,making me paint the same thing twice...and i HATE to paint.

Second,i decided to paint them in other colours other than Black and Gold...big mistake also,because,not only im not used to do so,the minis are...huummm...a little cheap in details so...today im gonna buy another black spray can and,tomorrow,they are gonna have another uniform...main colour will be black with a little gold for the shoulder pad.Then,the hair colour will match the base colour.Dont know about the Treeman thought...i bought one from Arthur Inkpen,and im waiting for him,but i guess he will be brown with a helmet or shoulder pad or whatever in black/gold.

Now,about the goblins...I was kind of sad for not be "playing" in this MMN mercenary goblin team (yes,the names of the players will be the names of the ones that painted them)so,i´ve decided to enter the contest,and,i´ve "converted" one little green skin (i still dont know if he´s gonna be a normal gobbo or a big hand gobbo...i guess he can be both since the hand is not that big).Here´s AbraxiS...

He´s a response to the one that Tristan made .He also haves the BIG and spiky shoulder pad,a pony tail and a suspicious big hand (goblins do love a big right hand...some of them are blind nowadays,but they still love that hand)...LOL

The colours that im gonna use to paint him are...surprise,surprise...gold and black (see what i´ve did here...i´ve changed the order of the colours...lol)...plus,thats the pattern required to paint them in order to enter the contest.

And to end this post...heres a paper Drop Pod i´ve made a couple of years ago for my Black Templars (i never did a BT army by the way...i´ve discovered Blood Bowl...lolol).I was letting him stay in his original form so people (when i say people,i mean my wife and kids and Axtklinge...those are the only ones who have saw it in real life) could see that he was really from paper and that it took me like 1000000 layers of it to built the damn thing.

But Axt told me to paint it so,im finally going to do it...not only because of Axt,but also because im noticing some kind of mold growing on the paper...and because of that,i have to protect my "piece of art".

I just wanted to take some pictures of it and show you guys how the drop pod was before the paint bath....im thinking about painting him black....and maybe...silver...LOLOLOL.

Finding time

Well, I've hit the big leagues here and no mistake! Some of you may know me from various forums, my own blog, or even, and I hesitate to say it, from a real, actual, tournament. I'd like to think that I'm a reasonable coach, but in all honesty, I spend far more time painting than playing, even with fumbbl just a click away. This is why I wanted to talk to you about brushwork.

As a kid, I loved the Games Workshop games; from Warhammer to Necromunda, from Warmaster to 40k, I had models for everything. I was lured in by the purest gaming crack that is distilled from excellent models, engaging stories and wonderful paint jobs. Over the years, I've tried my hand at more or less everything in that list too. I've scratch built models, written (appalling) fan fiction and ruined more brushes than I care to remember.

But until recently, I was eternally dissatisfied with my achievements.

Predominantly, I would play army scale games but I found that what was in my head could never match what was on the table. If you were to pick up a copy of White Dwarf, you could hardly turn the page without finding gorgeous pictures of lovely, fully painted models. From lowliest trooper to mightiest hero, these would be painted without flaw and, when assembled into an army, they seemed to my adolescent eyes to be pure gaming nirvana; visual perfection.

When I looked from the page to my models, assembled on the bare MDF field of battle, I could only be disheartened. My terrain was ugly, my models half painted at best and sometimes (I am ashamed to admit) only partially assembled.

Of course, I was only young at this stage and in the years that followed I longed to play with a fully painted army. Regardless of the game I am playing, whether it is one designed by Games Workshop, Privateer Press or Spartan Games, I have always found it impossible; I have never played a game with a fully painted force.

Now, clearly, this says a lot about me. I am easily distracted and would often start three or four projects in a month. However, the bigger problem, which I have come to realise since I started playing Blood Bowl, is that I am a perfectionist. Everything I paint, I want to paint to the best of my ability.

The chap on the right is Master Tormentor Morghoul of the proud Skorne Empire. He took me about twelve hours to complete. To this day, he remains one of only four models that I have completed for my Hordes warband.

This gentleman took me around seven hours, conversion time included. He is part of my Daemonhunters force for Warhammer 40,000, which unsurprisingly, is not 100% painted.

Army scale games simply do not lend themselves to this sort of painting style. Recently, I started a Tyranid force with upwards of sixty models to convert, prime and paint. At a rough estimate, given my previous track record and allowing myself ten hours a week of hobby time, I shouldn't expect to finish them within the year, by which time, my interest will have waned. To get this army finished, I am having to force myself to paint in a different way; quickly and with short-cuts. These guys will not be painted to the utmost of my ability, but they will be finished.

Blood Bowl is my saviour. The game, I love. The theme, I adore. The range of models is excellent. And the time to finish a team? Next to nothing.

My Harlequins? At least eight hours a model; complete in three months. My Chaos Pact are taking even longer, yet I am confident that they will be finished by May.

This is the moral of my tale. It doesn't matter who you are or what your level of painting skill is; if you're playing one a game with a low model count, you have the time to do your best. You don't need to compromise your abilities as you might with an army scale game.

I'm not saying that you have to spend an inordinate amount of time on a single model, after all, I'm aware that my attitude probably makes me a little strange. Look at it this way, though: if you take your time, spend twice the amount of time on your models than you usually would, not only will they get better and your skills improve, but you'll still be playing with a fully painted team before the army scale gamer has finished priming his army!

the "Give him a Goblin" contest

My harlequins "painted by others" seemed to really inspire Abraxis, it was the first thing he'd painted in a looong time (in addition to the orc blood bowl counter) and since he has painted two whole blood bowl teams - dwarves & undead. He loved the idea of each harlequin painted by someone different, and wanted something similar himself.

We discussed it so much he came up with the idea of a "give him a goblin" blood bowl team. A single goblin - painted, isn't too much to ask. Axt begged to have the fanatic and I have pieces to convert a looney. We could think of a couple people who might have been interested but that would only get him half a team. So I thought of a contest and we needed a significant prize on offer to really tempt people into entering. I have offered up a print of a piece my fiance commissioned for my birthday, which features two of my blood bowl teams duking it out! I will get this piece signed by the artist. Yep, that's it, Gladiators...

A few years back, while surfing the web, I've stumbled across a few pictures of gladiator miniatures that really caught my attention.
Not only because they were very nice sculpts and paint jobs, but because they represented a historical period I find particularly interesting (after all the Roman Empire did ruled over these Mediterranean European territories for quite a few years).
Anyway, I've started looking for some 'rules' to try to recreate a few of those cinematographic gladiatorial fights, but despite finding literally dozens of them (most of them free), I didn't quite settled for any until a couple of months ago, I noticed a post in Anatoli's Game Room blog reviewing one of the Warhammer Historical rulebooks - Gladiator - .

I already had some of their books that I liked so, with the extra incentive of a 50% discount on the book hey were doing by then, I've ordered it and started my own small 'Ludus' (gladiatorial school).

To start with, I already had in the miniature shelf a couple of gladiators from Crusader Miniatures, and as I liked their sculpts so much I've ordered a few different types to join the 'Ludus'.
While I wait for them to arrive and since I was going to start to paint the ones I had, I've decided to convert (and paint) a few Celtic warriors ('friends' for them to practice with), based on the celtic range (plastic sprues) from Warlord Games (really nice cast, resulting in very detailed miniatures).

[Note: Just wanted to add that I find really cool to see relatively small companies (comparing to 'you know who'), produce such cool and detailed miniatures (both in metal and plastic ranges) and dont charge an arm and a leg for them (and no, I'm not endorsed by any of them).]

So here you have both Crusader miniatures, a 'Retiarius' ('net man') and a Laquerarius ('noose man')...

These are the first two Celts.
They are both holding shields and swords, but the 'red bearded' one is wearing a chain mail, which game wise is considered to be heavy armour, turning him into a 'walking tank'!

These are the last two Celts.
They are both based on the - Barbarians in the Arena - rules (free pdf available here), and they represent different Celtic tribes/troops, as for example the half-naked tattooed Picts.

Creepy N´Deads...

...yeah...i know it sounds like a cereal brand or something but no... :)

So,here you have it,Creepy N´Deads,another "finished" team...i will try to get 2 more Ghouls,but,apart from that,this is it.

I guess i´ve covered pretty well all the options for this team.I´ve got the Zombies if i need to get more meat on the LoS and i´ve got the Skellies if i need that extra square of movement (or someone to do some fouls :) ) so,i guess this one is done.

Next in line will probably be the plastic orcs from the starter box...

Star Players... again!

Here we have two more Blood Bowl Star Players I've painted recently to use in the my Blood Bowl league, the NABBO League!

The first one is a conversion for 'Barik Farblast', based on a Dwarf from 'Dungeons & Dragons Chainmail' (a squad named Mordenguard) .
He already had a gun on his hands so it was fairly easy to add a ball and the should plates.
Anyway I'm not a big fan of 'passing game' with Dwarf teams but the fact that he's so cheap (game wise just 60.000gc), means that starting teams can make use of some of his skills, at least for a drive.

The second one is also a simple conversion for the Wilhelm Chaney Star Player, a 8 move and 4 strength werewolf, a handy addition to new Necromantic, Norse and Vampire teams.
It's a West Wind miniature from their Secrets of The Third Reich range.

"Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi diagnosed with cancer...

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi is to undergo treatment for cancer after being diagnosed with lymphoma.
His bandmates - with whom he has recently been reunited to record a new album - have asked for fans to send 'positive vibes' to the 63-year-old musician.
The hard rock pioneers recently reformed with their original line-up to work on their first album together for 33 years.

A statement released on behalf of the band said: 'Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan - the Iron Man of rock & roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery.'
The group, widely credited with creating heavy metal, insist they will plough on with plans for the new album.

Black Sabbath had also lined up a series of major dates during the year.
Iommi and colleagues Ozzy Osbourne, bass player Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward announced last year that they were together again once more.

They had been writing and recording in Los Angeles with producer Rick Rubin on an album due for release in the autumn.

The statement said the group would continue to work on the recording: 'They will now go to the UK to continue to work with Tony. Further information will be released as it becomes available.'
Left-handed player Iommi famously lost the tips of two fingers working in a sheet metal factory as a teenager but learned to play with thimble-like devices to extend them.

The Birmingham-based band, renowned for their powerful riffs, made their debut as Black Sabbath in 1969 and continue to be cited as a major influence on successive generations of rock bands.

Wild-living Osbourne was axed from the line-up in 1979 and replaced by Ronnie James Dio who died of cancer in 2010.

Black Sabbath had been due to play the UK's Download Festival this summer."

Star players...

Nothing like a festive weekend with plenty of 'nothing to do' and a few boring shows on TV, to dig out the paint set!
With the painting mode: ON, and lots of lead begging for ink on the shelves, I've decided to have a go with a couple of Blood Bowl 'Star Players' that will sooner or later be useful in our league games.

The first one is an home made version of the "Slibli" (how silly is that name?) a Saurus Lizardmen Star player with Block, Grab, Guard and Stand Firm. A really nice addition to any new Liz team, specially in a perpetual league such as ours.
The body is from an Warhammer saurus (5th edition box), a head from a more recent sprue, all joined together with some green stuff and a couple of other bits .

The second star is this stout little guy I had around since ever, that goes by the name of Puggy Baconbreath. Game wise it's quite a tough guy for is size (Block Dodge, Nerves of Steel,...), but like his halfling counterparts (and despite his look), it has an armour made of paper (AV 6)...

Merry New Year!

It's the first day of the new year!
In most cultures a new year means new beginnings, new hopes, and new resolves.
The chance to fix the wrongs, and plan for higher things...

Over here at Merry Mayhem News, I dont have the pretentiousness to aim that deep, therefore a "new year" will hopefully mean new miniatures, new games, and new fun stuff all together!
Kudos to us all if we achieve that!

With this new year spirit in mind it would be really cool to know "gaming wise", what would be your plans for this new year.

Hey all...

So,its Christmas time,and we,at Merry Mayhem News want to wish you all a Merry F_ _ _ _ _g Christmas.

I want to thank all of you who visited the blog and contacted us through the comment section or mail.

Also,i want to give a special shout-out to the following people,in no particular order:

-Tristan-for the great reports and for the new blood injection to the blog,this guy was awesome without knowing us from nowhere,a true gentleman indeed.

NABBO Tea Cup 2011 - pt. 3 -

(Third and last update on the NABBO Tea Cup 2011 article)

The day of the tournament has come and gone...

Its impressive how fast an entire day runs when you're having a blast! (And that's probably the best way I find to define how the whole tournament went!)

Having said that, and despite all the fun of getting together with some old league friends, all the games were quite competitive and the "award winners" were only decided in the last game round of the day. I was glad to see how, apparently (and much like riding a bike), old timers didn't forget how much fun it is to roll Pow's against your opponent's team, and so they did as much as Nuffle or the rerolls allowed!

Everybody loved the "Tea Cup 2011" official dugouts (which includes a weather and kick-off table presented by Merry Mayhem News!) but the stars of the day were the custom ivory/marble NABBO dice made by Chessex! Thumbs up to Joseph for such amazing work.

Pic 1: Clockwork Green (orc) preparing the kick-off to the Black Ferns (Amazon), only to see them show off their playbook and equalise in the last three turns of the match. That would turn out to be the only TD conceded by the greens in the entire competition, feat that would assure them the top place in tournament!

Pic 2: Here the Rockandrolla Steel Heads (dwarf) stretch out through the entire field, trying to hold off the Deep-Six Diggers (Necromantic). The resilience of the short fellows kept them in the game for a long time but Necro team ended up capitalising on their fast movement, finishing this game with a 2-1 win.

Pic3: The (induced by brew abuse) brawling style of play of the Lanshor Wolves (Norse) fell short against the dodgy game of the Prowling Goddesses (Amazon).
Winning by 2-1 the lady's proved to the horn-helmeted norse that they could pick and stand a fight as good as any half-naked men, theory that proved to be right almost 'till the end, when they faced the half-naked orcs of Clockwork Green loosing by 0-1 in the end of the second half.

Pic 4: Here's the official stuff: our custom NABBO "Failing Go-For-It's Since 1999" dice, and "Tea Cup 2011" dugout! We might have a couple of them left to sell if someone is interested. By the way Zug is only there for scale!

One final word...
Unfortunately, due to some work related problems that required his presence, Abraxis was not able to attend to it as we all wish he did, but we will no doubt have a ton of other chances to welcome him and his newly painted Midgets!

NABBO Tea Cup 2011 - pt. 2 -

Just another few words of a "not-that-short-now" short story.

Back then (1999), fluff was perhaps "the most" important thing and so the almost forgotten background story of the NABBO League stated something like this...
"Once upon a time there was a miserably poor, rural community where most crops kept being lost or destroyed by endless years of invading Chaos or Orc raids, only halted when really, but reeeeally bad weather settled in! Only the toughest, the crippled or the stupid remained in those harsh border lands, fighting to survive each day.

It's not difficult to understand that the once beautifully cultivated fields got left in complete neglect as other far more important issues (such as running or fighting for their life's) arised.
Hunger was almost a constant, and as the years went by, both men and beasts left behind in the aftermath of the invasions, struggled to find something to eat.
And that is when it all comes together: One foggy afternoon, while going back to the settlement empty handed, a team of human scouts short cuted through an open field when one of them spotted a huge turnip just a few meters ahead.
Obviously they went for it, but just as they got hold of the tasty vegetable, they realised they were not alone in the field...

Suddenly the fog seemed to have disappeared and there they were, standing right in the middle of an open field with of a bunch of orc's, apparently as surprised as they were, between them and the safety of their settlement.
After the initial moments of surprise for both sides, they soon realise that neither were war party's, but scouts looking for the very same thing - food -, and as far as both could tell the only thing eatable out there without too much of a trouble was that turnip!

The story goes on and on, stating how both sides slammed into one another, using whatever skills they had, sometimes running and passing the turnip amongst them selves, other times just tackling and blocking, in an attempt to grab or keep hold of the turnip, that annoyingly kept changing sides...
No one really knows for sure in which side's soup that turnip ended, as nowadays both races have slightly different endings for the story, but for what it's worth, similar brawls kept happening in that same field long after any turnip sprouted there, turning it into a festival (food, drinks, and brawls), and later into a real event (brawls, with drinks and food)!

That huge turnip was never forgotten and earned its place in the crest of the organised league that "a simple brawl" had turned into, pictured in gold and soaring high over the stripes that represented the once cultivated fields.
So what about the name of the league?
Oh that, was an homage to that turnip since the very start, as "nabo" is the word for "turnip" in the native language and in that way the acronym N.A.B.B.O would have a double meaning as Neglectic Agricultural Blood Bowl Organization.

NABBO Tea Cup 2011

Short story...
As most of us Blood Bowl die hard fans would certainly like to, the fact is that only a chosen lucky few get the chance or opportunity to play in big tournaments.
A few years back, in one of ours BB league night the "Big Tournament" subject came up: the NAF guys were starting to plan the first NAF World Cup!
For a few minutes we all had that grin in our face, day dreaming of how "grand" would be attending to it, but as much as we all would like to, real life stuff such as work, family, economics, or a mix of them all ended up luring our expectations.

This year, to commemorate our very special 10th league (in more than 12 years of existence), we've decided to put together our own tournament, and invite to it all our past and present league players and a few friends too (thumbs up to Abraxis for planning on coming to commemorate and play with us)!

The tournment will be held in a single day (three games, top ranking coaches playing each other each round), the coaches will have 1,100,000 g.c. to spend in players, skills, re-rolls, etc. and in the end of the day three coaches will be awarded: the best coach (highest score), the most violent (more casualtys), and the "wooden spoon" (for the lowest scoring coach in the cup).

As we are a very small league there wont be any big glittering prizes, except for a "thematic" Cup for each of the awarded coaches, however we did produce a custom made Dugout, and a set of dice with our logo and motto for the past 12 years.

NAF World Cup

The NAF World Cup is running in Amsterdam as I write this down.
They have put together a web site where we can check the results in each round, and keep track of the players and team rankings.
A bunch of pic's of the event will eventually be posted there too.

A couple of months ago,i was wandering through Youtube and decided to search for WAR BLASPHEMY...wich was a one-man-band that i´ve decided to create around 1999.

Well,the results came back a couple of audio videos with some songs i´ve made :) Cool :P

1st...here´s a little 12 years old bio:

"WAR BLASPHEMY, was created in 2000,it was supposed to be one demon project,I was influenced by the deeds of Black Sabbath, Darkthrone, Venom, Desaster, Slayer, etc..., but since i couldn?t play drums,the project had to sleep until the end of 2001,at that time i was playing in a black metal band named Epping Forest were i meet Thormenthor(drummer)...i talked with him about the project and showed him some musics...he liked,so we proceded to record the first demo"For the Glory of the Unpure"...and what an adventure it was(remember the recording of the drums at 7.30/8.00 in the morning...).This demo camed out through Hell War Prod in 2002 and got a good response...it sold out fast at the label(and i only have the last 50 of the 666 copies). After,i start thinking in new material...the result was "The Prophecy of the Apocalypse",a 2 song+ intro Ep...or at least it was intended to be,because the running time was too much for a 7" and to less for a tape or cd,so i released it myself on my label WaraxiS Prod.,it was released in Dvd Boxes with professional covers...but was limited only to 20 copies,so,only the close ones got a copie of it.The response to this CdR-Ep was great but small due to the short number of copies...maybe it will be re-released on a split tape(with Thy Black Blood?????) by War Prod.(i hope so). By this time,a split 7" with Inner Helvete was planed,it should be released by Total Holocaust Rec. from Sweden,but it didnt turn that way.The songs were recorded,the covers were made,but at the last minute,Total Holocaust stoped releasing vinyl...if there are some label interested in releasing that piece of blasphemy,please contact Total Holocaust,because i think that they even pressed the covers,so its less work to do. This was in 2003. Meanwile,i had to left Epping Forest due to lack of time,but one thing was certain,i was not going to end War Blasphemy.I started to compose new material...this time the songs were much shorter but straight to the point,the sound becomed more raw and closer to the old death/black ala Beherit.I played all instruments this time,and for the last time,it was not because i had problems with Thormenthor,i was just because we didnt have the same free time,and that way we couldn?t gather to record the fucking songs. This time i had the help of Impius from Inner Helvete...he created all the intros and mixed the songs,adding sometimes some explosions to it...(the previous releases were all mixed by MysticcosmoS...thanks mate). This songs became the first War Blasphemy album...if you can call it that...because it have 11 songs,but only 20 min. +/- of running time..but anyway,some of the Metal masterpieces have less more than 20 min. So,stop complaining about the short running time...next time i´ll do a Black Metal opera or something with just one conceptual song with the running time of 70 min. or so...hahahaha. This new blasphemy is called "Satanic Armageddon" and was supposed to be released in the end of 2004 through Hell War Prod. and WaraxiS Prod. in tape format,but there was some delays,so it will be released only in 2005(and dont ask me when...). I am looking also to release it in vinyl format,and it will have the CdR-Ep as bonus,so,once more,if anyone is interested,just contact me. Anyway,there are 3 songs recorded at the moment(a cover,a new one and a re-recorded) and Thormenthor is the drummer(HAHAHA...it was the shortest recording session i had ever seen...1,2,3...first take...good enough??...well,good bye then...HAHAHA). War Blasphemy never played any concert...but maybe in a near future,things can change...and for that i only need some guy who wants to play bass,and he must have a big house with a steady rehersal place,and lots of money to spend in the promotion of War Blasphemy.... And i think this is all...if something important happens in the mean time,it will be added in the news...

blingtoof's gitbash - a fouling I will go!

The inaugural blingtoof's gitbash is in the books and I fully succeeded (and I mean FULLY) in winning the "Best Fouler" award. I will save the details for further down the post but suffice to say that while second fouler had nearly triple the fouling points that third fouler had, he was still over 40 (yes FORTY) points behind me. MUHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

Game 1 was vs Tyler and his Orc team. There are some pics below. Unfortunately for him he left his thrower too exposed early after receiving the kick and I managed to (after fouling for that turn of course) blitz his thrower down and steal the ball. I stalled for a turn but by then a lot of his players were off the pitch so I scored to get more back on (to foul - lol). He very nearly started the game without taking an upgrade package but I made sure he did, that would have just been unfair. So he gave one blitzer +AG and someone +AV I think. In the second half I stalled too long and he caught my ghoul, then managed to work his way up the pitch to score. To be honest I wasn't too upset as I didn't really want to be winning all my games.

Game ended in a 1-1 tie and I garnered 24 (TWENTY FOUR) fouling points (6 stun, 5 KO, 2 CAS from fouls)

Game 2 was vs Chris (the tournament organizer) and his underworld. We all got a normal skill to give to a goblin and a normal skill for anyone. I gave my Fan Favourite goblin Sure Feet and my Leader mummy Grab. Chris got a quick 2-0 lead built up, and was really smart about avoiding my fouling. I did foul out a fair number of his guys including his pumpkin troll (see pics 2 & 3 from below). From there I caught up with two quick touchdowns of my own, but towards the end of the game he was looking pretty sure to get a third and I just took advantage of the proximity of his players to foul more!

Game 2 ended in a 3-2 loss and I scored 22 (TWENTY TWO) fouling points (2 stun, 4 KO, 3 CAS from fouls)

Game 3 was vs. Robert and his Orc team (there must have been at least four orc teams out of fourteen coaches). We again got two normal skills to distribute so I gave Sure Feet to my goblin with Sneaky Git and Guard to a wight. He had a pretty standard non-troll orc team and he was the eventual wooden spoon recipient. I tried to help Rob out a bit as he was obviously new to the game, so I showed him a bit about how to line up blocks so if you only get pushes you can block with another player, etc. I had a lot of trouble knocking down his Orcs (he had a lot of Block) and so suffered my lowest fouling points game in the tournament.

Game ended 2-0 win and I scored 15 (only fifteen? :-( ) fouling points (5 stun, 3 KO, 1 CAS from fouls)

So I ended day one with a respectable 1 win / 1 loss / 1 tie (especially considering how frequently I ignored the ball!) and a massive 61 (yes, SIXTY ONE) fouling points. The next highest had 40. I found out my next opponent was a chaos pact team so I was looking forward to fouling a bunch of goblins and skaven!

Game 4 was vs. Mark D and his chaos pact team. I gave my last skeleton Dirty Player and last goblin Sneaky Git. He quickly went up 2-0 but my fouling began to take it's toll. I totally ignored the ball for the entire game, and it led to a hilarious conclusion in the final turns of the second half. Marks ogre had kept blitzing towards the ball in my end while I was fouling the rest of his team near the scrimmage line. He managed to get the ogre to pick up the ball and all the way to the end zone. Then he called it - "watch now he's going to go bonehead on the end zone line" and of course - nuffle works with no mystery at all. 3 boneheads in a row gave me a chance to sneak a goblin onto the pitch and help tie up the ogre with a skeleton. In one of my last turns I just decided to throw a two die uphill block and double-kapow'd the ogre, breaking his armour and stunning him for Mark's last turn.

Game ended 2-0 loss and I racked up 26 (TWENTY SIX, hell yea!!) fouling points (4 stun, 1 KO, 5 CAS from fouls)

Game 5 was the final game and I was matched up against Craig who was also trying for the fouling award but quite far behind me in points. I gave my Fan Favourite goblin +AG and my wight with Tackle +ST. This was the second underworld team I played, and we both ignored the ball to concentrate on fouling (I did use it to distract him several times - AFTER my foul for that turn of course!) thanks to Stunty & Dirty Player I was quite successful in getting his players off the pitch. He kept throwing the ball into my end to try and keep the game tied. Late in the game, with his last player on the pitch (his troll) he threw a 3 die blitz against my same goblin who blocked Marks ogre down, rolled triple skulls and failed his loner to reroll! I then proceeded to break armour and KO the troll - BOOYAAH! With three turns left and the board empty of underworld players I did manage to score a touchdown (took all three turns cuz I had no rerolls and ghouls were dropping my hand offs!) which very nearly gave Craig the wooden spoon but he did have lots of fouling points which were first tiebreaker.

Game ended 1-0 win and I got 29 (TWENTY FREAKIN NINE!) fouling points (1 stun, 6 KO, 4 CAS from fouls.

Day two finished up 1 win / 1 loss and a massive 55 (FIFTY FIVE in two games!!) fouling points, bringing my grand total up to 116, with Craig (my final opponent) next highest with 72. "Best Fouler" was in the bag and I managed a pretty reasonable winning % as well with 2 wins / 2 losses / 1 tie.

Some other stats, I actually placed 7th overall, which is just into the top 50 percentile (with 14 coaches) and I was 8th for most touchdowns and 10th for most casualties.

Also congrats to my buddy Mike @ shiftedmatrix for winning Best Team award with his Nurgle Rotters.

blingtoof undead/goblin roster

Here's my roster for the blingtoof tournament starting tomorrow at meeplemart. Am pretty set on my plan but any tips for massive fouling is much appreciated! I even setup my printed roster with lots of space to track my fouling points!

You read that right, 15 players! I am going all out for the fouling award, we are talking aiming for 80 turns of fouls over 5 games. Definitely expect to have some players ejected. I have the one cheap bribe (50K) available to sanctioned teams and decided to use the double for leader on a mummy.

Going to start w fan favourite goblin on the pitch.
Attempt to sneak on the vanilla gobbo sometime around turn 5-8.
Have 1 skel with dirty player on, save the other for when he gets ejected.
So hopefully late game I still have a dirty player and if I suffer bad ejections will have the gobbo with sneaky git.

Looking for advice regarding whether I play the vanilla skel or 3rd ghoul from the start? Thoughts??

Expect some live tweets tomorrow. Probably less than normal as time at the store is very tight, probably just every foul that results in something (could hopefully be lots of tweets - lol)

R.I.P. Flattus Maximus...

"Death of Cory Smoot-On November 3, 2011, GWAR released a statement to MetalSucks.com that Cory Smoot had died.According to Metalsucks: It is with a sense of profound loss and tragedy that the members of GWAR must announce the passing of their long time guitarist and beloved friend Cory Smoot, also known to thousands of metal fans worldwide as Flattus Maximus. Cory was found deceased this morning as the band prepared for a border crossing. There is no word as to the cause of death and the members of GWAR are completely shocked and devastated that this has occurred. At this point there is no word on arrangements and the disposition of the remainder of GWAR’s current North American tour, nor are there any details regarding long term plans. At this point we are just dealing with the loss of our dear friend and brother, one of the most talented guitar players in metal today. We ask that our fans and the media be respectful of our request for privacy for those that have suffered this terrible loss. A full statement will be coming in the next day or so, in the meantime please give your thoughts and your prayers to Cory, his family, and all the people that love him.

My apologies for how long this has taken, I had no opportunity to post anything while in Ottawa for the tournament due to all the drinking and shenanigans - and once back I had an extremely busy week so this was really my first day with a solid chunk of free time I could devote to compiling the recaps.

In the end I went 1 win/2 losses/1 tie, and finished in 17th place (out of 20) - so another game would have put me on the bottom table! I finished just behind my opponent Colin (orxymandiuz) from game 4 even though we tied so I`m guessing he had less losses than me. Happy I managed to stay above the new kid Kohl who joined us for his first tournament (who won the rising star as he was greatly improved across the tournament) and considering who my losses were to I don't feel too bad about my performance.

Slann are definitely a strong team for the deathbowl format, getting Leap + Very Long Legs is a potent combination. I think next year I may need to try having a super player like Leathan does when the tournament rules offer than option. I will need to practice keeping that player alive too.

Orclahoma... a land of savagery in both its weather and its inhabitants. Long ago driven from the rest of the Southlands, the many tribes of Savage Orcs came to this land and called it "WAAAAHH!", which translates to something stupid, so most people just called it Orclahoma. Told they'd have their own land,the Orcs prospered and lived peacefully, or as peacefully as Orcs can live. Not long after, the fabled tomes of Nuffle were found and the games reached far and wide across the great lands.

After many years of reporting for the Nuffle Broadcasting Cabal, Orclahoma native, "Scary" Harry Badsaw, decided what better way to share his love of Blood Bowl with his people than by holding his very own tournament. With that, the Orclahoma Bowl was born!

Knowing most teams and coaches have no desire to come to the savage land, Badsaw built an impressive stadium(Badsaw Farmily Memorial Stadium) and convinced some Greenskin star players to offer their services up to any team who was willing to pay them. Not only did he get current star players, he managed to talk "The Crom" himself, Cromnard Dung, out of retirement and to offer his services for this tournament! Who knows who might show up in future tournaments, rumor has it that Greaser Geargrinder was seen buying new parts...

Fans of Blood Bowl will be glued to their seats! The mighty Orcs bashing and mauling each other! The Orclahoma weather changing hard and fast! Great fun will be had by all! And even more-so by the fans that survive!

...been playing FUMBBL and...i think its awesome,especially if you dont have Cyanide´s Blood Bowl like me....and i mean an original copy here...lolol.

My most active team (2 games) is the HairyMidgets (Dwarfs)...i´ve lost the 2 games,2-0 both,against Undead and Chaos,lost a blocker wich turned into a zombie and in 32 turns,i´ve rolled between 15 and 20 skulls...

Well I completely failed at doing any painting at all on the team I wanted to bring this year (that I started painting immediately after last year - can you say EPIC fail???) but I feel I have sufficient excuse with how busy things have been (buying a house, staging our condo to sell, being the only guy left in our department at work) so I don't feel too bad about it - there's always next year!! For any NAF members you can check out the NAF thread for more info if you are interested!

In the end I couldn't even decide on a single roster, so I am bringing both the slann and elf models and will see how things pan out over tonight. I have 3 of my preferred rosters printed out (1 slann / 2 elf) which should be pretty sufficient to make a choice tonight. If anything the slann would only change a single skill on one catcher so I can just cross that out. If I end up re-doing the pro elf roster completely I could be in for some last minute scribbling!

Just a quick update to remind everyone I will be doing some live tweeting during the games (should be easy when I have 3 turns to do nothing!!) probably with more pics since it's hosted at the T.O.s house - so wifi should be available. Depending on how quickly my games finish I will either do individual game recaps, or possibly day 1 / day 2 recaps on both blogs. My goal is to try and improve upon my 6th place finish last year, note to self (if using slann) - diving catch provides +1 to catching accurate passes!!

A few weeks ago while looking up for some ideas for a specific Blood Bowl model, I came across Your Lord and Master's, a blog with tons of interesting stuff!

From general wargaming news and rumours, to paper scenario pieces and models (including paper models for Blood Bowl teams and side line miniatures), there's a lot of stuff in there that can be of use and well worth to check!

Here's a quick snap of three (count 'em, 3!) harlequins painted for me by others. You can see who painted them in the caption, and likely know already (from AbraxiS on twitter) that the awesome guys here AbraxiS (follow his twitter) & Axt painted one each. The one in the middle was generously painted by Golden Daemon Winner Mike Howell (check out his blog / follow his twitter). Thanks again Gents!!

These are added to my other two harlequins (1 needs some touching up) to form my Spire Brat pack for Necromunda (based on Anthony Cases rules). Five gives me a good start and considering how expensive their equipment is, could be enough for a whole gang - but if you know me at all I like choice! There are at least four (count 'em 4!!!) harlequins out there around the world with some amount of paint on them and eventually headed for me!

Finally a special bonus was included in the package from you crazy Portuguese! Axt took it upon himself to build me a couple blood bowl counters/tokens. I was surprised and excited to see there was more than the harlequins in the box that arrived. The hand coming out of the ground even glows in the dark! Am looking forward to using both of these at the upcoming blingtoof tournament here in Toronto (a goblin themed tournament where I am going to bring my undead with a few goblins, the orc counter will be my bribe!)

If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend trading some painting with people. You end up with some pieces that are truly meaningful and have huge sentimental value, and you get the chance to paint up some stuff that may be outside your usual wheelhouse (I painted a cowboy and a "anime/manga" looking character for Dave of mini painting for free)

Currently on my dock, I have;

A goliath looking near future ganger type for arabianknight (from E4 miniatures I believe)
A zombie for Axts massive zombie collection (will be a "fan" of my Torne Bane Flaming Ears blood bowl team)
A skaven warplock engineer that arrived with the harlquin painted by Mike Howell. Will definitely be using some staining methods for his fur!

The (unusual) zed incident

As some of you might remember, a few months back I've hosted/games mastered a zombie game for a couple of friends from my usual Blood Bowl crew (check July entries of MMN for pics of that game.).

After giving a few final touches to some pieces of terrain for that same game (a couple of warehouses and a gun shop), I decided to take a few pictures of the almost-final result (almost because I often go back to add some extra detail to 'older' stuff)...
And that's when I came across this really unusual happening right down the road, just a few blocks away from my regular blood bowl venue.

NOTE: What you're about to see might very well be one of the very first documented cross-overs between two different table top war games that accidentally happened that week in that same place...

Chaos Cup - Game 6

For the last game I bounced back up to table 13 (possibly an omen) and played against Chad and his Chaos Dwarves (yay, another AV9 team!) who was the third from Rockford (they all had names starting with C strangely enough).

Additionally since it's the Chaos Cup everyone got two free mutations for unskilled 0-12 or 0-16 roster spots, and you got to wait to see who your opponent would be. I debated Claw but had not been throwing many blocks with my Zombies so in the end I plumped for Foul Appearance on both.

Below are my tweets from the final game. Chad enjoyed using my pre-registration red dice and they rewarded him! My models refused to stay on the pitch and once knocked out wouldn't come back either! Pipeline had to leave after game five and my joke was he left me with his luck! Also kept joking about hiding the red dice from Chad ;-) Game ended 1-2 loss, 1-3 CAS and earned me 12 tournament points.

Final game, picked foul appearance for my two zombie mutations.

Skull/chopblock x2 = stunned mummy. D'oh!

Managed to squirrel my sure hands ghoul down right near his endzone from a tough position.

Pretty much best kickoff I could get, ball far in the corner and perfect defence! ** this turned out NOT to be the case as I tried to hold up his Bull Centaurs with my Mummies in the wide zones and ... (see next tweet) **

Looking likely the chaos dwarves will tie it up before halftime. BOTH mummies taken out in one turn :-(

Pulled off a magic move, dodge into 3 tackle zones and uphill blocked the bull centaur down with wrestle.

Followed quickly by failing a 3+ dodge with reroll. wah waaaaaaah.

Chaos Cup - Game 5

Game 5 saw me on table 17 pitted against Paul (pipeline of "BANG" infamy) and his Chaos team "69 Dudes!" who unfortunately had terrible luck during the game but we later had a great chat about my visit to the Chicago Art Institute on Friday (where he works as a network admin) which was really cool and interesting.

Same as all the previous posts my tweets are below. When my first block was double skulls I thought it was going to be painful for me but it turned around pretty quick. Pipeline took his licks with good sport and quick wit! Game ended 2-0 win and 1-1 CAS, netting me 62 tournament points.

Chaos Cup - Game 4

Game four was on table 19 vs Bobby and another Orc team, but at least it was a very different build from my previous opponent. His team was called Cyzygystic Disaster. Great feature about this game was getting to play on the custom Chaos Cup 2011 pitch - cool!!

Quickly had Piling On mummy and Guard wight KO'd so went for the quick score and pulled it off with no rerolls.

Managed to knock the ball free but failed a 4+ pass leaving the ball in the open.

Then I was a gentleman and pointed out his Blitzer has strip ball so even the push on mummy knocked the ball loose. ** He later told me afterwards about him paying it forward when he taught a 13 year old how he could pull off a 1TT - how's that for showing how great this game and its players are! **

Two die uphill block to take down the thrower, double chop block = win!

Orcs tie it up pretty early in the second half, five turns to take the lead again.

Then my sure hands ghoul fails a go for it w reroll, dropping the ball and killing himself in the process :-@

Chaos Cup - Game 3

Game three I dropped down to table 14. I played Chris with his Orcs. They were called "Generic Orcs". Chris was also from Rockford and friends with my previous opponent Craig.

As with the previous game posts here's the tweets and photos I posted yesterday, I took too many photos in game two and I had to charge my phone so that's the reason I only took a few photos.

I was pretty disappointed with my performance in this game, mainly that I confused one of his Blitzers for a Black Orc. It's a mistake I frequently make with Orcs teams made from WHFB Orcs but still was no excuse. I thought my ghoul was in the clear but he got a tackle zone on him which eventually meant he scored instead of me in the first half. Hopefully this might teach me to count squares more in important circumstances.

Still, well played to Chris - he managed two TDs with thrown passes (one short and one long) which is very impressive with Orcs let alone without a thrower. Game ended as a 1-2 loss, 0-3 CAS, getting me 15 tournament points.

2 times failing 3+ dodge w reroll is killing my offensive drive. AND the freaking black orc caught a bouncing ball.

Managed an early TD (turn 3) thanks to Chris' gobbos inability to pick up the ball, tie game!

Goddamn gobbo makes up for it by throwing an accurate long pass. Double U Tee Eff!!

Second game was the highest table I played on all tournament, Table 6! He came with a bunch of guys from Rockford and I ended up playing 3 of them throughout the tournament (all three of my losses - damn you Rockford!!). From memory his team build was.

Craig was a very skilled player and I found it really difficult to get to grips with his Amazons (Dirty Dodging Darlas), without having any Tackle. I did get a decent amount of casualties, it was the only AV7 team I got to play all tournament. He ended up placing second so getting whooped by him doesn't seem so bad now!

Again here's the tweets I made during the game with the accompanying photos. Game ended 0-3 loss, 3-1 CAS to me, which earned me 15 tournament points. Apparently I had a lot of time to take photos and tweet!

Game 2 vs Amazons. His first hit of the game kills my block ghoul. So far managed 1 KO. My bash game not firing.

Piling On mummy gets his second CAS of the day.

Amazons push quickly up the left flank, they score on turn 6. Booo.

Ball lands on line of scrimmage. Rocks stun a linewoman and a ghoul. Undead trash Amazon line and pickup ball.

Trying to push two possible receivers fails on a 4+ dodge by ghoul who kills himself :-@ grrrrrr

Amazons roll blitz on the kickoff to increase my misery :-( let's hope the casualties start to pile up (on?)

Lots of kapows this turn, turning it around? Nope spoke to soon :-( sure hands ghoul knocked out and ball dropped.

Frenzy wight rolls double skulls. Lost the leader ghoul so need to save reroll. :-/ not liking amazons right now.

Crazy scrum ensues! 3 ghouls out looking unlikely to score. Trying to hold him to one TD, also unlikely :-(

Dodge skill fails and amazons score again - not looking good! Working on casualties now :-/

Made one last drive for a TD only to have the ball carrier smacked and probably give up one last TD ;-(

Managed to put some guys in the way to hopefully stall that third TD. Piling On mummy scored 3 CAS so far.

With some crazy dice rolls tried to hold her up. didn't help ANY lol seems like I was supposed to lose this game.

Chaos Cup 2011 is in the books!

Well it was a complete blast but the dust has settled. I'd like to thank Jonny P, Bryan aka "Xtreme", Jimmy Rufer and the rest of the Chaos Cup committee for throwing a very well run tournament. Be sure to start following JRufer if you're on twitter, he also posted a bunch of tweets during his games, and he's a hilarious dude!

Photos of the Chaos Cup swag! Khorne Flakes and the red dice were for pre-registration. I picked up some extra base sets for a few buddies (Paul @ The Man Cave and AbraxiS/Axt @ Merry Mayhem News)

Usually at two day tournaments I get a good day and a bad day. This was the first time my good and bad results were mixed up on both days, food for thought!

My final roster for Chaos Cup only has 1 change from my initial posting (I had to go with two guard, dirty player is just too situational and having four ghouls is better than three!). The change is on a Wight, I removed Mighty Blow and added Frenzy - I hope to use this in two ways. First and most important, it will scare my opponents from leaving players even a square away from the sidelines instead of only right next to the sidelines. This should help me to keep my Mummies involved in the play as it "reduces" the width of the field. Secondly it does mean that if they make a mistake and stray too close to the sidelines I should be able to blitz them into the crowd, hehehe.

Well... I know that wargamming, table top games, miniatures (Blood Bowl), PC games and other hobby's of the sorts don't usually mix very well with intense physical activities, outdoors exercise, or even sports...
(Remember I said "usually"? If you do combine them, or they do mix where you live, then kudos to you, and I mean it!).

Rugby World Cup 2011 has started!
So if you do like sports, even if you've never payed much attention to rugby, then dont miss out the chance to see the greatest selections of the world playing for the World Cup!

Oh, and if you're either lucky or take note and hand-pick the New Zealand team games to see, you'll get to watch the haka just before the game begins (*)...

FF Fields - Blood Bowl custom-made fields

FF Fields make custom Blood Bowl fields (and fields for other variants of the game such as Street Bowl), where you can "show off" the logo of your team or other elements you see fit.
According to them, "there are no impossible requests" as far as the customization goes, so go nuts, drop them an email and turn all your opponents green with jealousy.
Except perhaps Orc players, as they already are green.
And Goblin, they tend to be green too.
Aaaaaaand maybe a few species of Slann or Lizzies...
...
Anyway, they come in a couple of different formats -hard material that can be divided/folded and in printed PVC rolled up -, so you can choose the format that suits better your storage place.
I haven't played them yet, so I really cant comment on the durability but they sure look cool!

Next real post is going to be a test for the dual twitter/live blogging I want to do for the Chaos Cup. I have my buddy @wapcaplets (check out his website & his blog) coming over for a game (or two?) of Blood Bowl wednesday night. Any thoughts or tips on best way to achieve it let me know! I will be posting using my phone only. I am currently thinking to post quick notes/pics via twitter and then later to combine them all into a longer blog post and add any extra info I can.

I've added a small countdown timer to track how long it is until chaos cup.

I haven't played very much blood bowl since about March (a few games with a dark elf team in XTBBF) and none with the undead so I need to get back into practice. I'm going to try and get a game a week at least until the tournament (either board or video game)

Undead Blood Bowl team

You asked for it! The rest of the MMN crew asked me to post a little bit about the team I planned to bring to Chaos Cup this year. After a solid outing at the Power of One tournament (2nd place/Most CAS) in Montreal last year with a team built for blood, I decided this year I would dedicate myself to the walking dead in an effort to familiarize myself and hopefully win a few more trophies!

So, may I present to you - the Torne Bane Flaming Ears!

I became a little enamoured with the idea of basing the fluff for my blood bowl teams on real life NFL teams. I had done the same with my orc team and I really liked how it worked out. Basically I used the internet to find out the most active players from a team in the year I wanted to represent and find out what jersey numbers those players wore during that year.

For the undead I selected the expansion year (1976) Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who went 0-14! Who else but the undead are going to fall apart on me! So I did some digging in the warhammer fantasy undead book to find a place that rhymed with Tampa Bay, finally selecting Torne Bane. Next I needed a name that rhymed with Buccaneers - this was getting kinda tough - but eventually thanks to the above logo, I thought Flaming Ears would work - since it almost rhymes and the if a skull had ears on fire I think it would look pretty close to the logo.

With my team name and colours (orange & dark grey) selected I went about figuring out jersey numbers. The team MVP was a defensive player #63 Lee Roy Selmon. Most of the other players weren't that special, so I mainly chose guys whose last name went well with "dead" (they all have the first name "dead" - lol) as per my favourite named player, "dead" Fest!

ZOMBIES!!!!

Finally I will leave you with a pic of my zombie players. For other pics of the team you can check out the link to my team page above, but I thought a pic of the zombies appropriate since Axt convinced me to send him a painted zombie after I commented on his ZOMBIES!!!! game post, in exchange for them each painting a harlequin for my planned spire brat pack gang for necromunda - and I will paint him in the style of my blood bowl team - so at least they will have one fan, even if it will end up all the way in Portugal!

Chaos Cup 2011 pt1

Windy City is BOOKED. Last year I was fortunate enough to participate in 7 blood bowl tournaments across Ontario & Quebec. This year I have so far attended 2; family commitments, attending Astronomi-con (same weekend as two possible blood bowl tournaments) and the cancellation of Challenge of Q'ermitt has meant I haven't been able to play as often this year.

Therefore, due to the fact that this year seems to be the year of seperate vacations from my fiance and Porter Airlines flies from downtown Toronto to downtown Chicago, I have decided to attend the Chaos Cup 2011. I have never been to Chicago but fortunately have a nice friend there willing to show me around a bit before the actual weekend of the tournament. I'm hopeful of getting some of everything on this trip. A lot of gaming, a bit of partying and hopefully a bit of tourism are all in the mix.

So, onto my preparations for the tournament. You can find the rules pack HERE. Simply put, it's 1100TV, no ST/AG upgrades, max 1 upgrade per player, no skill allowed more than twice (as an upgrade). Thanks to my success at the Power of One tournament in Montreal last year with a super bashy Undead team, I have decided to run the Undead at pretty much every tournament I attend this year (both in an attempt to get better with them, and because I think the fluff I created for them brings me a lot of good fortune (surprisingly, actually the opposite of the fluff). Another point to remember the Chaos Cup is a NAF MAJOR tournament, which basically means it impacts your rating twice as hard as other tournaments. Better do well!

I think the below is about as good a "casualty focused" team I can manage, but I would definitely be interested in any comments you might have!

Pros

40K saved using Leader

Possibility of losing Leader reroll.
Fouling extra risky (losing a more important player) and more difficult to gain reward.

Alternatively if I downgraded a Ghoul to a Skeleton, I could take two regular rerolls and give the Skeleton Dirty Player - but I would lose the Guard on the Zombie.

With only three ghouls I will need to be very cautious about committing with them. This could increase their survivability but also might mean they have less impact on the game.

I have an added bonus for being super excited about this tournament. In speaking with my buddy at Konflikt Terrain, I have been assured that a special project he undertook for me will be ready for this trip. MUHAHAHA!!!

Just needed to say hi to Tristan -Hi Tristan!- and welcome him aboard!
And since I forgot to take pictures from my breakfast I'll try to make up for it with a couple of pics from my last week Zombie game:

This one was taken after the first couple of turns.
The place was still quite calm while the survivor teams moved in from the north side (top of the table), searching for loot. Still, attracted by the vehicles noise and a couple of shots fired by the survivors, a few zombies had already started to show up...

As the first team reaches the location of their last objective (the last piece of loot) the zombies already turned into troublesome sight...

In an amazing turn of events, after getting inside the building (to capture the last piece of look), the first team gets bogged down by the zombies, and in a 'hollywoodesque' kind of stunt a member of the second survivor team gets the loot, and jumps out of the balcony (from inside the house) to the top of the jeep, avoiding the flood of zombies all together.

And after running over and shooting a bunch of the zombies, the second team makes a 'go for it' and manages to escape to dreaded area, leaving the area with the loss of only one team member, and winning the game.

My first impression was that he seemed like a cool guy,he has a ton of blogs and loves Blood Bowl so,what else could i ask for?

On a personal level...today was a slow news day...i got up,skipped bath,made some coffe,had lunch,went to the market to buy stuff for my pancakes,ate 3 of them (with powdered sugar,strawberry sauce,cinnamon and ice cream)

and now here i am...my belly is hurting like hell,my son is trying to blind me with a Power Ranger sword and....and thats about it.
